Emotional Eating Behavior Assessment

Emotional Eating Behavior Assessment

$74.50

We are all guilty of reaching for certain foods to comfort us during an emotional time – whether that be a stressful day at work or an argument with a friend or family member. If done occasionally, it is not necessarily problematic, however constant emotional eating can cause several side effects.

Emotional eating is eating as a way to suppress or soothe negative emotions, such as stress, anger, fear, boredom, sadness and loneliness. Major life events or, more commonly, the hassles of daily life can trigger negative emotions that lead to emotional eating and disrupt your weight-loss efforts.

Emotional eating is using food to make yourself feel better—to fill emotional needs, rather than your stomach. Such overeating can impact general health because of excess energy intake and mental health, due to the risks of developing binge eating.
